I think it’s unthoughtful to turn anger on Phury for scolding Qhuinn in Lover At Last. It’s his job to protect the Chosen, and Qhuinn and Layla made a reckless decision together that could’ve affected Phury’s role as the Primale. He is one of the most mindful and unselfish

The one couple I just didn’t like or connect with was Xhex and John. I mean I felt nothing. Nothing when he rediscovered himself at that apartment building staircase with Xhex. Nothing when he and Xhex mated. Just nothing. I guess it would have happened sooner or later. But it kind of took away from the magical feeling of these books for me.
